Whenever I click the “View Site” link, the black WordPress admin bar at the top disappears. If I click the back button, I can go back to the admin panel, and I can see the bar again. Sometimes the bar appears (randomly) when I click a page / article.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, if you go to Users->Your Profile in the admin dashboard is the ‘Show Toolbar when viewing site’ box checked in the Toolbar row? If not, make sure to check it, update your profile at the bottom of the page and then see if it starts showing up on the front of the site.

If that doesn’t work, please disable all plugins you have active and switch to a different default theme if you’ve done any customizations to Twenty Fourteen.

If that works, you can go back to enabling your Twenty Fourteen theme. If the issue doesn’t return, you can go back enabling each plugin one by one ensuring to test for the issue after activating each plugin.

Thanks. I have already tried the Users Profile for all the users on this website and they are all checked to Show Toolbar when viewing. I will disable all the plugins and give that a try again (I did that before too.) But I did not try going to another theme and switching back.
    Cheers,

Okay I tried that and even with all the plugins disable and another theme I am still missing the admin toolbar on several of the pages.

If I login with Chrome as admin and then view site, I have to click on a post in order to see the admin bar.

If I login with Firefox as admin and then view site, I canm click on a page or post and see the admin bar.

On neither of them do I see the admin bar on the homepage.

Funny thing if I log in with Brave it acts like Firefox and not Chrome.

Try pages and posts and think about different browser or different machine to duplicate on.

Note that my site is running off Cloudflare (CDN should be considered) and caching.

I cleared the cache on my iPad, and I have noticed that in this case I can see the admin bar on all pages. However when I use Firefox it does not show on all the pages, only some. I cleared the cache on firefox and I still have the same results. It’s very frustrating.

I disabled all the plugins, tried a different theme with the same disappointing results.

try Brave or Opera — they are based on chrome engine

    It is frustrating for sure

One workaround I have noticed is that opening an incognito window with Chrome yields different results than normal Chrome. I can see admin menu on homepage. Same for Brave.

Incognito extends to privacy settings for the browser and the site itself.

I am not sure how Safari reacts.

try a private window with Firefox
