Hi Ben, it would be a great feature if the report and block buttons disappears when a user has reported or blocked another member.

If a user already has blocked another user, he would know. Sometimes a user can have blocked a user by mistake, by pushing the wrong button, and he wouldn’t even know he had blocked the user.

    Best
    Carsten

Another solution is to change the text to ‘unblock’

    Hey @carsten-lund,

Actually, I had added the block/unblock idea to the roadmap and should be in the next version. It will make it more consistent with the approach of the suspend/unsuspend button that administrators have.

Doing the same with the report button is more complicated, as I want users to be able to report more than once at the same time. I can’t change the report button to ‘unreport’ when clicked as the report is already submitted, and I don’t want to delete it, for the reason above.

    Hope that makes sense!

I see the problem with the report button, what about ‘report again’?

Sometimes users regret the action, of reporting another member, any thoughts about that case?

I’m not a fan of that – it would be a lot of effort interrogating the database, to search for any previous reports made by that user, for very little gain.

    I’ll keep thinking ??

Re the issue of regretted reports, I’ve never had that reported as an issue, so am unlikely to think about it unless it becomes a problem. May be worth looking to see how Facebook/Twitter etc deal with it.

It could be just an unreport option in the drop down,of course it does not cancel the report, but gives the admin a better overview
