Simple yet very effective plugin but I am wondering how can I use the Elementor page builder to create the private page? Also is possible to create a ‘Master Template’ ? so when there is a new user it automatically creates a page which I just have to edit?

    Thanks in advance ??

    Hello @aup2,

Unfortunately you cannot use Elementor to edit the private pages. You could however directly edit the template.

Here is how the Client Portal private page template works:

If your theme has a single-private-page.php file in the theme’s root folder, then that one is used.

If there is no such file in your theme’s root folder, then single.php is used.

Yes you can use Elementor to edit a private page. I do it all the time.

Go to Elementor and under settings make sure “Private Page” is checked. This will allow you to use Elementor while inside a private page.

I build a template for my clients that they load up with every new client so they can change information but if you wanted static info then all you’d need to do is add it like any other template and just change the info on the template itself.

@nlmosler You are the real MVP! Thanks man.

    @nlmosler Hey, thanks for sharing…

Buut, I’m stuck a bit with this:

I build a template for my clients that they load up with every new client so they can change information but if you wanted static info then all you’d need to do is add it like any other template and just change the info on the template itself.

How you do it, to load automatic every time a new private page is created?

    Thanks

@luisro90 you could create a template using dynamic content and then fill that using ACF for each client.

Otherwise you could just insert the template into every new client. It’s not ideal but it works for a lot of clients.

    Thanks for the answer ??

@luisro90 my pleasure. Let me know if you need anything else.

I am using Elementor and the Hello theme.

I keep on receiving the following message when I insert the shortcode into a page.

“Sorry, the content area was not found in your page. You must call the_content function in the current template, in order for Elementor to work on this page.”

Interestingly, if I insert the shortcode in a formidible form field the shortcode works fine, just it removes the benefit of a shortcode…

Any thoughts or experience on this issue would be appreciated.

@nlmosler hi Lee, I am having trouble with elementor and client portal – as noted in previous post… except it should say that the second last paragraph is incorrect – in the formidable form I created a dynamic URL using the logged-in users first and last name…

Are you using a particular theme? or have you found conflicts with any plugins. It would be great to go straight to the page than my current workaround (which requires a secondary jump – user pushing a button).

I have tried your Private Page advice, but that didn’t work for me either.

    many thanks, Jason.

Are there detailed instructions on using Elementor for creating private member pages?
