Hello, I’ve been having issues with your “Q2 W3 fixed widget” plugin when using the Elementor drag and drop builder.

Let me first be clear by saying that the plugin works without an issue if I use it with the WordPress sidebar which is what I think you had intended originally it to work with in the first place. Unfortunately, we do not want a sidebar on our current site.

In Elementor, you are allowed to drag and drop WordPress widgets so that they can be wherever you want them to be.

After I had downloaded the plugin, I was pleasantly surprised to see that when I used Elementor to drop widgets onto my page, your fixed widget check box appeared in the elementor options of what I am allowed to do with that widget.

That made me think that your fixed widget plugin did have some compatibility with Elementor.

    Now the sad part ??

After I had checked the infamous, “fixed widget” check mark that showed up in the action options for that widget within Elementor, the changes did not take affect whatsoever upon saving. I refreshed the page, cleared the server cache as well as my browser cache to no avail.

If I could get your plug in to work, it would be an absolute lifesaver for me.

On the provided link, you will see the page where I am having these issues. You will see that the plugin itself is indeed working, as I am able to enable the “fixed widget” ability for the sidebar’s “recent posts” on the backend.

You will also see a vertical yellow “contact us” flag in a bit of an awkward place towards the right side of the page. That is the WordPress “Custom HTML” widget that I have used Elementor to place on the page. That is the widget where I have enabled the “Fixed Widget” check mark that appeared as an option within the Elementor options for that element.

Unfortunately, checking your box is not taking any effect upon saving.

So to some things up, your plugin works with the sidebar, but I do not want a sidebar – I want the “fixed widget” option to work when I save changes in Elementor so that I’m not forced to have content on the right side while squeezing the rest of the content.

Thanks so much for reading this, and i look forward to your response.

    Hi mikestestwp

First of all, I’m sorry for the delay.

As far as I can see the link you mentioned does not work anymore (site is not available). I would like to help you but I suppose in this case it won’t work.
If you like, please send me a working link where I could see the issue you mentioned. Maybe I get an idea then.

For now, we could not provide any extended support/adjustments for Elementor but I will keep that in mind in any next versions of the plugin.

    Kind regards, Odilo

Hello, I apologize in advance for bad English, I use Google translate.

I also had a problem using your plugin along with the elementor.

The plugin captures the widget, but the links become non-clickable.

    Hi waifen

As I wrote above, I’m sorry to say that for now, we could not provide any extended support/adjustments for Elementor.
But we will keep it in our minds for the next versions of the plugin.

    Kind regards, Odilo
