Resolution problems

I’ve been trying to change #rap a little bit, but i got my selves into trouble. I’m not sure how much details you need for helping me, but let’s make a short one. I designed my site in 1280 x 1024, and now it’s fucked in other resolutions. Can I use % instead of pixels, or what would be the best solution? Please let me now if you need more information.
