    Hi mtporter!

Are you referring to the specific text “You do not have access to add events” or to how to allow members to post events?

The specific text cannot be edited. To allow members to add events to your calendar please see Help > Events > Setup Events > Allowing Members to Post or Access Events.

Note that if you are logged in as an admin, you would not technically be a “member”. So you should test the page using another browser (not a different tab/window of the same browser) where you are not logged in as the admin.

Yes and yes I know to have another browser open and logged in as a member. I assume it is not a good choice to add ‘Add Event’ on the menus and just leave it be as is when a member IS logged in they will see the Add Event button on the tabs

    Hi mtporter!

If the member has the ability to add events they will see the Add Event button on the calendar/event list, so if you feel that is more appropriate or less confusing for your members you do not need to have a separate page on the website for adding events. Another alternative is you can add some text above the addevent shortcode to explain who has access to add events.
