In this case your contacts are already there in the system. The issue was when someone tried to subscribe to the list, it removed all contacts from list and add that new contact into the list.

We have fixed the issue in ES 4.3.5 which means, if some one will subscribe, it won’t remove other contacts from the list.

Regarding the contacts which doesn’t have any list, you can add them to any list using “Bulk Action” from Email Subscribers > Audience tab.
