• Several months ago, before I went out of town, I changed the time between when logins were allowed because I was getting bombarded with emails about failed logins. Dumb move. I changed the time between when someone could try to log in to “900 mins”, and of course my password to login to the admin now no longer works or I typed the wrong thing, but I’m not being allowed to try to log in again for 36 days.

Any idea how to deal with fixing this would be appreciated. If I can change something in the database, I can do that, but don’t really know where to look for it within the database.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

What plugin are you using for it?

No plugins, just the standard settings that come with WordPress.

There’s no such setting in WordPress so you’re using some plugin. Ithemes? Wordfence? Sucuri?

Well, I can’t get in there to see, but never heard of any of those and positive I made the changes as to how long between login attempts in the WordPress settings dialogue.

Any plugins added to my site are generally in the realm of photo gallery, forms, or other layout type plugins, and there aren’t very many. I generally try not to install plugins unless necessary to get a job done.

I’m going to check my other WordPress site and see if I can locate the setting specifically.
