I have two different series that I publish from my site. I’m finding that no matter the series it’s associated with, the subscribe links in the posts (itunes, etc) ONLY use the default settings. I tried clearing default and ONLY setting them at the individual series level, and the links just do not show.

Since my series are on different feeds, this is problem.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi there. Can you confirm that you have the unique Series level subscribe URLs in the Feed Details area for each of the Series feeds? They by default will in herit the default feed values as a placeholder, but these values are not actually used and you have to enter the Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, etc. subscribe URLs for each of your Series in turn.

If you’ve done this can you send a screenshot of those settings fields so we can take a closer look? Same for a podcast episode in each of the Series?

Here’s what I found. As an IT person, everything I do specific overrides general. So a file’s direct permissions override the parent’s. This is where that logic falls down.

I have two main series and I wanted to have a page where if someone wanted to listen to EVERYTHING, they could. So i had a parent called “Everything” and the series were both subs to that. I have found that the highest PARENT overrides any settings of the subseries which is counter-intuitive to most IT things.

If I can’t use a parent to tie these two together, how can I create a catch-all playlist?

    Hello @odndpod,

Using the SSP plugin and series feature, your Default Feed will the the feed that contains all episodes from all podcasts. You do not need to create an Everything series, just create two independent series and those episodes will be in the Default feed. Let us know if this is the solution you need.

I was talking about the podcast playlist embedded on the site using shortcode. I got caught up in the “series” tag, i didn’t think to try it without. I have a better understanding on how this works and I’m able to create the playlists I need.

I’m good to go. Thank you!
