    Hi there,

Really appreciate your plugin and that you make so much available for free.

I’m concerned that the download link not intuitive for our non-techie users. Currently, it requires someone to take additional steps they would probably not guess. After clicking on the ‘download file’ link, they are taken to a player page. From there they have to click on the 3 dots and select download file. I know they could also right click on the original link and click ‘save as’. But they also would not guess that.

Am I missing something in the plugin configuration that would make a download link actually download the file without any right-clicking or additional hunting and left clicks?

I’m hoping to find a solid plugin I can use with a slew of clients and this usability issue is pretty important to me.

    Thanks,

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @jon-of-the-wood,

You may want to try our HTML5 player which has two download links that both download audio on the first click for a better user experience.

    Cheers!

    Thanks for your reply!

I tried the HTML5 player, and I do see the cloud with down arrow icon. When I click on it, however, it takes me to the same new tab as the ‘download’ link. And this still requires clicking on the 3 dots and selecting download.

Interestingly, I noticed these are the same behavior as if we clicked on ‘open in new window’.

    Thanks much
