Question about Thesis Theme

I was thinking about buying the Thesis theme to use for putting my website on WordPress, but I don’t want a generic look. My site audience are early childhood teachers, so it needs to look somewhat cute (cute graphics, cute backgrounds, etc). Before I buy it, I’m wondering if it’s fairly easy to change the Thesis theme. I know some CSS, but not a lot & I get confused sometimes when trying to change CSS on blog themes.
