• We have recently had the site remade by a developer who has now become uncooperative. He did it in such a way that the homepage and it’s contents are hardcoded. I want to change the homepage and would like to set a static homepage. I can set it but all the coded content appears before that static page. I have done it on a staging site so it can be seen what is happening ( you will see the temporary testing content at the bottom of the page.
What I would like to do is bypass what is hardcoded so that I can choose what I put on the homepage, but I am not sure which file is being used to fill the homepage with this content.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

O.K, if I am understanding correctly you added ‘just testing then will put proper content’ in the WordPress editor and everything above that is the hard coded content the developer added, you need to remove/edit the hard coded content, correct?

Firs, try to determine it that is a specific page template or if it is the default. Look on the right side of the page edit screen for Template :, if it’s not there then it should be the default (usually page.php )

In the theme files find the template and you should see the hard coded content.
