Loading header makes the image unclear despite the exact spec of 1092X400

I’ve looked all over but can’t find how to make sure my header image is crystal clear.

I’m using the Sketch theme by Automattic. I loaded the 1092X400 size image into Media>Library where it’s clear but once imported into the Customize>Header area it gets fuzzy. The Customize>Header area specifically says to make your image 1092X400 and the code reads this way as well- but somethings going on, I guess, with the load header area.
