• Hi there

The plugin is awesome compared to some other ones on the market, but i have noticed a very strange thing with the translations.

I translate the words/phrases and that is OK, meaning that the translation takes place. However the strange thing is when i want to replace/rename the same translation with a more suitable word/phrase. Exactly this step is not possible. I have seen it happen with many words/phrases. I do clear site cache, browser cache and you name it, but nothing can change that word/phrase to a new desired one.
To me, this means that i have only one chance to make the right translation. if i want to change that later, then i have to forget about it.

If all i mentioned is wrong, please correct me with the right solution,

    My best regards,
    Eddie

    OK, good.

How is this different from the first part?
Are you talking about changing the source string? Don’t change the source strings.

    Hi Tim

Thank you for the reply. I don’t understand what you mean by ‘Don’t change the source strings.’
But i need to change the source string as made a wrong translation in the first place, hence i need to make adjustments.
Also, some translations don’t even take place at all. I noticed this today.

    Thanks,
    Eddie

But i need to change the source string

If you want different English text, just translate the source strings to English. As I said – do not change the source strings. They are unique keys used to look up the translations and will not work if you change them.

    Hi Tim

On the last message i confused you about saying that i need ‘But i need to change the source string’. No i don’t need to change the string. By string i meant the text related to that string. Basically i need to re-translate the already translated txt.

I will explain what has happened. I translated all the text in bulk as they were presented in eng. But later i noticed that most translated words didn’t make sense. This is my mistake, OK, but now that i want to change the already translated text is not possible because locotranslation won’t accept re-translation.

I hope i made some sense this time.
    Thanks
