Why can’t I login to install a plugin?

  • I want to install a plugin. Now, I’m logged into WordPress to my site editor. When I click “Install Now”, I am taken to a page asking for Hostname, Username, and Password. The Hostname is already filled. Shouldn’t the Username and Password be the same as what I use to log into WordPress? It won’t accept this login information. Why?

    second, if it asks for these three parameters, I am GUESSING it has to do with the DB username and pass…
