Rename files with the same name

  • Hi!

    Is it possible to show an error message if somebody wants to upload a file with the same filename? Or… just rename the newly uploaded files name to avoid overwriting.

    Hi, by default the plugin will overwrite the old file. There is an option in the shortcode to adjust this behaviour. It is option File Duplicates Policy. You can reject the upload if a file with the same name already exists, or rename the new file so that both are kept.
