Hello, I have searched these forums to not find anything related to this problem. I may have missed it but see nothing that helps. I set up Jetpack and get this message when trying to set the option for plugin autoupdates: “Any autoupdates are explicitly disabled by a site administrator.”

The site is brand new. I have not disabled any autoupdates. I have no plugin that disables autoupdates. I have only a few plugins but disabled them all except Jetpack to no avail… still the error.

I check with my host (SiteGround) and they assured me that no where in my account are autoupdates for plugins disable. In fact it is quite the opposite in my autoupdate area of SG. I have allowed them.

I also have not set my wp-config file to disallow autoupdates.

I also have no other restrictions on my wordpress such as conversion control.

I am stumped as to why Jetpack is not allowing plugin autoupdates to be set. Any ideas?
    Thanks so much in advance.

What is the URL of the site with the problem?

Oh, I am building a site for a client so it isn’t public yet, and I don’t think she’d want me linking it on a forum. Sorry. Is there any known reason, by chance, in general (besides what I mentioned already checking above) that could cause such a thing? I even deactivated every single plugin except Jetpack and still no autoupdates allowed. It’s a brand new site. Have never had this happen on any client’s site. I am stumped.

Thanks so much @darnelldibbles – I appreciate the link. I have tried everything I know of to get the autoupdates turned on. I really appreciate that the host has autoupdates set for both WP and the plugins, but I really want Jetpack to set them to autoupdate as well. Thanks a million!
