Having age gate over specific content on web page

  • As the topic title suggests, what I am looking for is to have the age gate appear on certain content on a web page like a form or video. I don’t need it over the entire page and it just needs to be a verification of age to enter a contest that uses a form to collect the data.

    The situation is that we are trying to only allow 18 and over to be able to access the form to submit their entry. We would rather not block the whole page, just the entry form.

    Let me know if this is possible with this plugin.

    Hi @jamkddr,

    At present it’s not baked into the plugin (it’s been on the todo list for age though). I’m hoping to include it soon.

    I did help someone do something similar recently though, if you have a look at this thread it might give you some pointers:

    That is slightly different though as they only needed a global yes/no.

    Thanks, Phil for your reply. For a contest they want me to have the age gate placed over the form entry. Our legal department didn’t want me to have a general checkbox or yes or no. I was just hoping that someone might have already done this by either turning it into a shortcode so you can place it where you want.

    Not too much of a problem for me to create an age gate, I was just hoping that this would make my life simpler.
