iFrames to display mySQL database content

Hi there, we are currently investigating the possibility of migrating a database based website to WordPress.

We are thinking of embedding existing pages from the site within new WordPress pages on the same domain using iFrames. Is this a suitable use of iFrames?

There’s no real problem to solve but we like WordPress because it has tens of thousands of developers working on it to help it adapt to merging trends and developments.
