The W3 validator is very old and not updated for podcasting. Ignore any error/warnings you get from that validator.

The warnings you received from CastFeedValidator are irrelevant in regards to the message you received from Apple.

I checked your artwork file and it appears to meet all of Apple’s required specs. But, Apple is noting in its response that the artwork file needs to be hosted on a server that supports http head requests. You should check with support for the company hosting your website and ensure that they have http head requests enabled.

Thanks a lot for your help! It turned out that I used a ‘?’ in the name of the jpg which is not accepted by apple podcast ??

Had no idea that kinda thing was a problem for Apple. Thanks for the update!
