• hi.
after translation of the post (which contains a video), the player gets screwed, i think it tries to translate also the code from <script></script>. it happens only in internet explorer, in firefox it works.
here is a example page https://www.viewclips.net/not-forgotten-2009/ , the author of the plugin can give me a hand?
    anyway, congratulations on the plugin:)

thanks for the answers, i’ve deactivated the plugin

Sorry viewclips, I didn’t see this thread since it didn’t have the tag google-ajax-translation. If you want to try again I’ll look at what the problem is on your site.

so i’ve enabled the plugin again, in firefox it works, in ie it doesn’t work, is screws up the video player, don’t know why.
    waiting for a response, thanks

I found a solution to your problem. I’m just checking with the author of the jquery-translate plugin to see if this is also caused by a bug in his code.

ok thanks alot, waiting for the solution, you can tell me what to modify coz i know php

Ok. The solution is pretty simple. At the bottom of every post you have the text:

The Movie Poster, Cover, Description, Synopsis, Overview, Trailer, Genre, Cast

You have to surround this with <div></div> or <p></p> tags.

The jquery-translate plugin is supposed to skip over any Flash objects and also skip over the [Translate] button. This text node is a sibling to the [Translate] button which is causing both of them to be sent to Google for translation.

weird, the post was already in a div, i added to that text a <h3></h3> and now it works.

    thanks alot monodistortion

    have a happy new year!

    hi again monodistortion.
i’m interested in modifying the plugin that instead of [Translate] button, would appear the list of flags by default and when i click the flag it would translate the content.
can you give me any tips?
    much appreciated, thanks
