In the settings we can decide if a user can or cannot edit posts. But it makes sense that edit posts should be available para Pending posts, but not for published posts.
Meaning, when a user creates a post, he should be allowed to make corrections. Once the administrator makes his review and publishes the post, it should no longer be available for editing by the author.

    How can this be achieved?

If I set to No in the “Users can edit post?”, the author can’t edit even if the post is in Pending Status.
If I set to Yes, the author can edit even after the post has been published. Not good.

  • Hello @contactovisualpt,

“Lock user from editing” feature of WPUF which allows a user to edit a post for a certain amount of time after submitting the post.

This feature is available in WPUF form-based and user-based. Only the form-based version is available in the free version.

So if the admin sets the editing hour for a form to 3 hours, after submitting the post, users can edit up to three hours regardless of the status of the post. After three hours users will be unable to edit the post.

    “Lock User From Editing After”

    Found it. ??
User Frontend > Post Forms (edit form) > Settings > Edit Settings:
Lock User From Editing After… X hours

    That will do.
    Thank you
