Social Bookmarking

Hi and sorry if this post does not quite fit into this category. I am posting because I’ve been playing around with probably most social bookmarking plugins for wordpress avaliable the last few days, and I’m not particulary happy with any of them.

My question is, does anyone have a guide or howto, so I can make my own social bookmarking icons/ability on my website? Most preferably I’d love to have them on my sidebar. I have tried googling quite abit around this topic but I seem to get lost in those “learn wordpress” -sites who care more about commercial income on their websites rather than an informative post.

Any pointers or advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance
