wp archives

hello
i am trying to achieve a tab menu each menu will be a year(ex:2007) so everytime you press a menu only the archives from that year appear.
i’ve been trying to do it with wp_get_archives(‘type=monthly’) function
but still have no clue how to call a specific year.
any help appreciated.
