    Hi there

I have just discovered that some recipe content can apparently not be edited.

I have just kept upgrading the plugin, currently Version 0.11.1, since I found it a number of years ago and probably some upgrade missed out on something as I discovered a few days back.

Because I had a partly botched site transfer using a site transfer plugin, I had to try and correct site links via the database as for some reason the settings on the dashboard pages did not suffice.

So I replaced all link strings I thought, but discovered recently some still have wrong ones, and I’m having to look for them and replace them manually, such as th link on that recipe page.

As far as I’m concerned, there are 2 places with text “… and is widely eaten in many variations across the whole of West Africa. Our first by same chef is here => Abdoulie’s Jollof Rice.” … with highlighted text linked, ie. under the main recipe description & down the edit page under “Excerpt”.

I think a couple of days back, I tried and deleted this main description, but it all the same showed up,to my consternation!

So my question is where is this text hidden so I can edit? Apparently there is the same problem for all recipe descriptions. I know, I might just be missing something obvious somewhere.

    Kind regards

    Sorry about the delayed response.

The content your are describing should be editable in one of the metaboxes, so I am really not sure why it wouldn’t be updating.

    Hi

After a long manual search, I found lots of strings with the wrong url in many different tables, BUT for the specific recipe content, I found it in the postmeta table, meta_value column, if I remember well and after changing it, by replacing ALL instances of the string “https://wrong.url.de” with the correct url “https://www.correcturl.com”, I now have the correct links in the introductory text, where I happen to have had a link in text content, which is good.

One fact however, is in the metabox for introductory text in text editor, I have
    <strong><a title="Permalink to Abdoulie’s Jollof Rice" href="/recipe/abdoulies-jollof-rice/" rel="bookmark">Abdoulie’s Jollof Rice</a></strong>

and not what I expected after manually replacing complete site url strings, unless I’m mistaken:

    <strong><a title="Permalink to Abdoulie’s Jollof Rice" href="https://www.correcturl.com/recipe/abdoulies-jollof-rice/" rel="bookmark">Abdoulie’s Jollof Rice</a></strong>

… unless the editor would be truncating “https://www.correcturl.com&#8221;.

Miraculously, after deleting, both the text content in the 2 metaboxes (I mean the one for the main recipe description + Excerpt) which was shown in screenshot above, it had no effect on this text, which you can currently see at given recipe link.

That specific recipe has currently been temporarily saved with both of those 2 textboxes on the recipe edit page EMPTY.
    What could that imply?

I guess that means there’s some column in the postmeta table, which is illegally storing this, not appearing on edit page BUT having its content printed. ;).

On the site /recipe page, the most recipes, which I added within the last couple of months have editable text, though in the SAME upper metabox (assuming that’s the textbox for main recipe description) … So possibly only old recipes are affected.

I’m happy immediate issue is solved, though, with correct links.

May be I’m the only one with this strange behavior …

    Thank you.
