• Guess I made a major mistake, I did not read carefuly the image sizes, and uploaded 600 sized images and I think they should have been 300?

    I have a a few questions:

What is the best way to know the size of an image, or THE size an image should be? I originally just ‘right clicked’ the theme image and used that as example, prob not good idea. How do I determine the correct size so I am not bogging my site down. And the correct KB size?

I have smush, BUT maybe the images were too big originally for smush to take effect? Can I SMUSH all images manually?

Re-uploading all my images would be very time consuming.

    Any help appreciated.

  • Go to your woocommerce setting and see for media there
that will be the original size your setting cropped. Go to your theme image and see for full size image. put the numbers in pixel in your woocommerce setting. same way for thumbnail and other images.

Hi can you be a bit clearer please?

first go to your woocommerce setting and set the image sizes you want by going to
woocommerce > media > setting image sizes you want

then use regenerate thumbnails to regenerate your images

    Thanks.

But doesn’t my theme have preset images? I don’t know what the image size SHOULD be?

I just want to use the recomended size images set by the theme only.
    Which I can’t find. ??

Doesn’t matter what size your theme have. The woocommerce gives you the facility to have your own image sizes.

If your images are squared like 800×800 or 1200×1200 and you want squared images then set the image sizes as you want like full size 1200×1200, thumbnail 600×600 small thumbnail 150×150 that’s your choice.
