    Hi.
I use Advanced Ads to insert ads on my site. I see the ads on my sidebar on desktop but the ads in the middle of the posts, I only see in mobile.

Other question: when I created my first ad in Advanced Ads I created the rule for the ad to show after the first paragraph, but it shows only in the middle of the post.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you very much!

    Hi arrs,

    thanks for reaching out.

I checked a post and can confirm that an ad shows up on mobile that is not there on desktop. It does not seem to be a placement from Advanced Ads though. Are you placing those ads manually? If not, then it is likely not managed through Advanced Ads.

    > I created the rule for the ad to show after the first paragraph, but it shows only in the middle of the post.

If this is the same ad then please check if it is indeed managed in Advanced Ads and let me know. If it is another ad then please tell me where I can find it.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Hi Thomas, thanks for your help.

I used Advanced ads to place the ad, the only ones I placed manually are the ones on the sidebar. Inside the text I only used advanced ads… If you prefer, you can email me and I can send you some prints. This is my first time using Advanced ads so I may be doing something wrong…

    Thanks again.

Hi again. I split my reply to send the first part quicker.

You can upload images to services like imgur.com and post the links here.

What I would like to see is how you added the placement, so probably a screenshot from the placement page and from whatever else you used to place it.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

I used Advanced Ads > create new, > named the ad > pasted the code from my adserver > chose in the middle of the text

Thank you. Where did you choose “middle of the text”?

at the end, we have to choose in the begginning of the text, middle, end, side bar and other placements which are add-ons… I chose middle of the text.

The “Middle of Content” placement is part of Advanced Ads Pro. Are you a Pro user?

Otherwise, you are probably referring to the “Content” placement where you have to select the paragraph after which to insert the ad, right?

Could I ask you for a screenshot of the placement settings? You can find them under Advanced Ads > Placements.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Thank you. I cannot find a trace of that placement in the page’s code so maybe the ad you see now comes from a different source.

Are you using any display conditions for the ad or did you enable any option that could prevent the auto-injection from working? You should see a warning in the Ad Health menu in the frontend if that is the case.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

I only disabled the ads on 404 pages and archive pages. I turned it on again now and I don’t have any warnings anymore.

So if the placement in the middle of the text is a PRO feature, does that mean that I can’t show ads in the middle of the text?

I assume that you still don’t see the ad, right?

If you are using the block editor, please add the “Advanced Ads” block to one of your posts and select the ad there. Does the ad show up now?

    > So if the placement in the middle of the text is a PRO feature, does that mean that I can’t show ads in the middle of the text?

It depends. You can use the “Content” placement without limitations. It places ads within the content. The placement that we call “Middle” automatically selects the center of the post to place the ad, so it has a slightly different behavior.

    Best regards,
