• I have set up the front page as a static page. When I try to load an image on that page nothing happens. It doesn’t show up on the preview or anything. Any help would be great appreciated, because I’ve been pulling my hair out over this!! My blog address is https://pinkbricksstudio.com

    Thanks,
    Christine

  • you have your “About” page set as the static page – is that where you are adding the image?

    Yes

ok – how are you adding it?

I uploaded the image into the media library, and then I am inserting it into block where it says upload/insert. I can see the image there, it just isn’t showing up on the preview and not it’s not publishing it.

try chmod 777 on /wp-content and /uploads and see what happens

also make sure settings here are correct
    admin – settings – miscellaneous

I went to wp/content change the permission to 777, then went to the miscellaneous to make correct changes, but still can’t see the image. I also tried putting images into blog posts and they are not showing up either.

I’ll see if I can help you but I’ll need your admin login info and your ftp address. If you want help, I’m at andrea[at]andreagarza[dot]com

sounds to me like you are maybe not in the editor correctly.

Go to edit your page, put cursor in the text area where content goes, click the little square button to upload new media, browse and upload it, once you see its little preview in the flash uploader, set your parameters then click insert into post. the uploader window will close and you should see your image in your text editor, put text as you desire, then click publish.
