    Hi,

The image dimensions of my front page “recent posts” area is around 16×9. However, these images show up vertically elsewhere on the site such as under “recipes” menu. When I photograph my images I photograph them vertically.

The 16.9 ratio really throws off the area of focus of the hero subject of my image (on the front page) So…how can I either change the aspect raio to be vertical(preferred)…or how can I reposition the image within the 16.9 so that my subject of the image is centered correctly within the 16.9 aspect ratio?

Regarding the front page…how do I even access this page to edit it? It doesn’t show up on my “pages” menu on WP dashboard…and under “customization –>front page,” there is only a scanty 3 menus and no options to customize anything else that actually appears on the front page (i.e. recent posts block).

    Thanks!
