    Hi,

In the MLA list I’d like to see which images are assigned as the thumbnail for my woocommerce product categories. I assumed it would be standard, but it seems MLA is unable to. Or am I missing a setting somewhere?

    Thanks,
    Wim

Thanks for your suggestion to add product category thumbnails to the “where-used” information for WooCommerce.

There is an existing example plugin to display product thumbnail and gallery information, and I have added the information you want to the example plugin. I have uploaded a new MLA Development Version dated 20190919 that contains the enhanced example plugin. You can find step-by-step instructions for using the Development Version in this earlier topic:

PHP Warning on media upload with Polylang

Once the Development Version is installed you must install (or update) and activate (or update) the example plugin. Navigate to the Settings/Media library Assistant Documentation tab and click the “Example Plugins” button. Type “woocommerce” in the text box and click “Search Plugins” to filter the table.

You are looking for the “WooCommerce Fixit” example plugin. Find that plugin and hover over the title in the left-most column. Click the “Install” (or “Update”) rollover action, then go to the WordPress Plugins/Installed Plugins submenu and verify or activate the example plugin as you would any other plugin. Make sure you have the latest version, 2.05, installed.

Once the latest version is installed you can go to the “Tools/Woo Fixit” admin submenu. Scroll down to the “Operations on the Product Image and Product Gallery” section and click on the “Where-used” button to create the “Woo Used In” custom field that displays where each attachment is used in WooCommerce products and categories. The field is added as a column in the Media/Assistant submenu table.

It would be great if you can install the Development Version and the updated example plugin and let me know if they work for you. Thanks again for giving me an interesting opportunity to enhance MLA.

It has been over a month since my last post. I hope you found the new MLA Fixit enhancement useful for your application.

I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions regarding the updated example plugin.
