Dashboard Freezing

  • I’ve noticed when I’m navigating in my dashboard after loading 4 or 5 things my wordpress will stop loading up. I have to close my browser and restart it and it still does. I can’t get anything done.

    I deactivated my most recent plugins and that did nothing. I also upgraded from 2.71 to 2.8 and that did nothing. I’m using Firefox and tried IE but I was getting different errors.

    Does anyone else have this problem or know what it could be?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
