Lock section of post from being edited by an author

How does the lower part get there? Is it entered post by post by an admin or some fixed text that appears on all posts?

The bit I want to protect is where the badges start. This is created by an admin. Ideally I don’t want a post author to be able to add or delete by mistake. So yes – post by post by an admin.

I’d add custom fields to the pupil’s profile which would have a list of the badges and apply those custom fields to the post.
