Portrait movies poster image on wide screens
-
The movie seen in the url above is 9 wide and 16 tall and the poster image obviously has to have the same ratio. If not the WordPress editor function crops it. Fair enough. This looks nice on a standing mobile, but on a wide screen it is not nice, I may even have to scroll to see the poster. However, when the movie is played it either automatically or by pressing full screen will show everything. But that is out of context of the surrounding text. I use the standard editor (not Gutenberg) and Twenty Twelve.
Is there a way where WordPress php or JavaScript could have detected this poster problem and run a layout manager and downscaled the movie’s poster to have the height not larger than the window height? Or is this not possible within the framework of a browser and html?
I understand that including the side bar would have made the problem smaller.
