    Hi there
I recently updated from woocommerce 3.6.5 to 3.7.0 as soon as I updated my mobile site crashed (white screen of death) and everything slowed to a crawl. It turned out to be an issue with Minify HTML. I contacted WP Rocket who I thought could help but they say it is something that woocommerce has done in one of their updates (could have been earlier than 3.7.0). I have restored back to 3.6.5 and am putting updating on hold until I know what is going on as everything went a little wrong. Basically I can’t update Woocommerce so I was wondering what was happening regarding this. I was told that others have come across this issue.

    Response from WP Rocket

We’ve had this issue reported by one or two other users. It seems to be related to an update WooCommerce made where they are inserting a giant block of JavaScript in the page, which triggers the problem with HTML minification: https://github.com/wp-media/wp-rocket/issues/1940

I recommend you also contacting them about that and if it’s something they are planning on fixing. From our side, I’m going to check with our team if there’s anything we can do or if it should be fixed by WooCommerce.

For now, keep HTML minification off. Fortunately that won’t impact the overall load time of your site.

This block data could be referring to a couple of other posts I have seen and commented on:
