• I installed the free plugin and then shortly after received an email from the author asking to buy. How they were able to obtain my WordPress login email address and administrative user name is weird, I never provided that information to anyone.

    Hey @jcfromkc,

I am sorry that you have experienced an issue with my plugin.

I take privacy very seriously and have never, and will never, send any spam emails.

When you install the plugin, it asks if you would like to ‘opt-in’, which sends some usage data to me so I can make the plugin better. If you choose not to, the product works just fine! I do not collect your email or username any other way, and there are no emails asking you to buy the premium version.

If this is not your experience, I will need to investigate, and I thank you for pointing the issue out. I’d be grateful if you could tell me more about the experience here, or via my contact page.

I’d also love to hear whether you felt there ought to be any improvements to the plugin itself, as I want to make the plugin the best it can be.

Thank you again for your review,

    Ben

    Hey @jcfromkc,

Just wanted to follow up on this, as you have stated that you have received spam from me.

I still need to investigate where that spam came from, as that shouldn’t be happening.

I’d be extremely grateful if you could get in touch so I can work with you to discover how it happened.

Again, I am sorry you had a negative experience with my plugin.

    Hopefully speak soon,

    Ben
