Phone number field throws error when opened on mobile devices

To reproduce, open the site on a mobile device, enter any valid phone number in the phone number field, click outside to loose focus, you will get an “Invalid format” error.
Try the same steps on a desktop, you will not get the error.

I am trying on Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, I have also tried on online simulators. If you are unable to reproduce please let me know.

I have checked your form and on my test site it also doesn’t work on the desktop ??

I have checked and looks like we have bug reported for the validation of the phone field.
I’m checking with the developers what is status of the fix for the bug – hopefully it will be fixed soon.

You are right, now its not working on desktop too, I think that is a regression in v1.8.1.
The changelog shows it is fixed in version 1.8.1, however it is still not fixed as of latest version version 1.9.1.

Please look into this with priority as it makes the entire plugin unusable.

I’m seeing this issue too… phone numbers can’t have “-” or spaces. If you only use numerals, it’s accepted.

Same issue. “Phone” field doesn’t accept anything except numbers! Even if “validation” for the field is turned off.

@bykastar this was precisely my issue. I’ve just checked though and it does, appeared to be fixed with the recent 1.9.2 update (even though it’s not mentioned in the changelog).

Have you updated to that version? (I’m using the pro version, but hopefully the free one has the same code patch…)

Now everything is going well on the desktop version of the site. But on the mobile version behavior stay the same. Message “invalid format” when using not numbers even with turned off validation.

I also noticed that in the desktop version validation isn’t disabling even if “validation” in field settings is turned off. But it works fine, so it’s no problem

One more issue on mobile version.
When validating is falls, submitting loader is not displayed.

I appreciate the feedback here ??

I’ve already pinged our developers about it so they can have another look.
We’ll keep you posted here as soon as there’s any valuable insight.
