    WP keeps telling me that I have a theme update but the version I’m running and the version it says to update to are the same 3.3.3.

    Is this a theme or WP issue?

    Which theme?

    To figure out if it’s a theme or WP issue you can switch to a different theme and see if the problem goes away.

    My guess would be it will be fine with the different theme.

    A reload/reinstall of the theme might clear the problem, too.

    Finally figured it out. The version # needed to to be updated in the child theme source code.
