Hi @wpsms11, Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the plugin, we definitely want to try to help out.

Typically, when there are problems with buttons not being responsive it’s related to some sort of caching issue; clearing your cookies or trying another browser usually does the trick. Can you give that a try?

If that doesn’t solve the issue, it could be a plugin or cloud service getting in the way, e.g. Cloudflare. Do you have anything like that running on your WordPress install? If you don’t, that’s ok, we just wanted to check on that first. We can try to look at a few other things as well.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @khungate, thank you for your reply. Just cleared the cache on both WordPress and Cloudflare, but still seeing an unresponsive button. Is there any particular setting or switch that you are aware of in Cloudflare that could potentially make this button not work?

@wpsms11, you could disable page caching in the admin area of the site by creating a rule that ignores any page ending in after a certain path, e.g. sitename.com/admin*. But, before we go down that path, do you see any errors in your console?

Where am I be able to find these potential console errors?

@wpsms11 if you’re not familiar with viewing the console in a browser, let’s scratch that for now. Have you tried an alternative browser(s) to install the plugin vs. what you were trying originally?

    Ah, the browser developer console.

We do get an error on the Javascript side:

“[Error] Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden) https://chimpstatic.com/mcjs-connected/js/users/xxx (xxx replaced)

I’ve tried clicking the Green Connect button in the WP Dashboard on both Chrome and Safari.

Finally was able to get through that issue, but been syncing and no final connection has yet to be made. I have very products (6), an extremely small mailing (less than 30) and order list (less than 20), so hopefully it won’t take more than a few hours to sync. It’s already been syncing for about 2-3 hours now.

    problem solved. please close.

@wpsms11 thanks for letting us know it was solved, but if you don’t mind, could you please explain what changed from the initial support request that actually allowed you to get things set up? Sounds like a caching issue of some sort that might have been getting in the way. If you could just explain how you resolve it, that might help someone else in your same position.

I’m having the same problem. The green Connect button does nothing after the last plugin upgrade.

    How do I fix it?

@saucemaniashop, thanks for reaching out. Have you by chance done any of the troubleshooting steps mentioned above? Let us know and we’ll be glad to assist further if need be.

No errors in the browser console. Caching cleared.

Mailchimp was not syncing previously so I disconnected it and now the green connect button does nothing at all when I try and reconnect.

@saucemaniashop, thanks for the reply. By chance did you try another browser altogether?

Yes, I did. That didn’t help. The same issue still exists. The Green Connect button does nothing when clicked.

@saucemaniashop, ok let’s check on a few more things if you’re still running into problems:

    1. Are pop-ups are blocked for the domain?
    2. Is Javascript is disabled?
    3. Is it possible that a window is opening behind the browser?
    4. Is there a browser extension might be preventing the pop-up to open?
