Contact from 7 – the success mystery

Can anyone tell me why on earth the absolutely execrable contact form 7 continues to dominate the contact form market on wordpress? It’s clumsy, counter-intuative,buggy and just downright difficult to work with. Like MR Miyoshi cares with 2 million downloads– even if he did one thing I would implore him to make any links away from the form to the help pages at least open in a new tab. This is like web design 101.
