date not showing on recurring event

just to confirm, you already enabled recurring events under Events > Settings > General > General Options > Enable recurrence ?

It might be a bit confusing, but the layout of Recurring Events is a bit different. There is no side box for the date as in a single event.

You need to use the meta box below the content named “Recurrences”.
