• So I have an issue with apostrophes coming out as \’. I’ve done the research and it is not a WP problem, but I think it is a problem with the theme. I think I can change this in the functions.php file, somehow implementing stripslash code.

    Help!

  • I’d guess that this would depend upon where the escaped apostrophes are appearing and why.

    They are appearing in Theme Settings… all fields under appearance:”mytheme”options. They do not appear in posts, so it is making me think it is specifically associated with the functions of that page.

    Yes – it should be in functions.php. You’re probably best searching for text used in the theme options page/menu.

    Thank you. I just don’t know what exactly to input. :/ There is no existing code about escaping slashes.
