    Hello Support.

This post is a combination of feedback and a support request.

I have just set up a Pinterest feed to run along side our Google feed.

Feedback – Pinterest rejected the feed as the currency field was set to prefix not suffix. Changing this resolved that problem.

The are two warnings that come up on the Pinterest feed. Not sure what to do about these!

    Alert
Link may contain UTM parameters. Make sure the UTM parameters you are sending are set up for Pinterest. 269

    Alert
Google Product Category is only 1 or 2 levels deep for this product, when an additional level of specificity is available.

  • Hi glowtec,

Thanks for your feedback. With regards to your alerts:

    UTM: It is entirely up to you what values to use in the UTM parameters added to your product URL’s. You can change the ones our plugin sets by default but I doubt it will make the alert go away;

Google product category: You (I assume) did the category mapping which will result in a category number being added to the Google Product Category field. Apparently you have selected a category to map to that is not of the “deepest” level in the Google taxonomy hierarchy. This however is not a requirement so you can safely ignore this alert.

    All the best,
    Eva

The feed finally finished processing and out of 251 products fed it accepted 2!

    The new message read:

We experienced a technical difficulty and we were unable to ingest this line of your feed. The next ingestion will happen in 24 hours.

the actually error log entry for each rejected product:

163 681 Warning 121: Link may contain UTM parameters. Make sure the UTM parameters you are sending are set up for Pinterest.

We are not programmers and need help with this please :-0)

    Thank you.

This message is just a warning, not an error. It should not be the reason for Pinterest not approving your products.

“163 681 Warning 121: Link may contain UTM parameters. Make sure the UTM parameters you are sending are set up for Pinterest.”

Anyhow, if you also want the warning to go away you need to disable the Google Analytics UTM feature: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7qqllax681q6n5g/ga-disable.png?dl=0

    All the best,
    Eva
