Hi, I just installed your plugin and was working to set it up and noticed a page in the settings called “Non-necessary Cookie Settings”

On this page under Enable Non-necessary Cookie it’s automatically set to NO

Can you please explain what all of this means?

And I noticed if you hit Cookie Setting on the banner it shows Non Necessary Cookies with a green box showing active?

If it’s set to NO on the Enabled Non-Necessary Cookie page to No why is it showing? Any help would be great.

Also, what is the purpose of the “Cookie List”? I have no programming knowledge at all. Just a noob so curious what the purpose of that page is for. Thanks

    Hi @drastikone1,

If you have set Enable non-necessary to NO, it shouldn’t show up on the cookie settings pop up in the front end. It is a bug and we will fix it in the coming update. This was reported previously by another user.

If you need to manage scripts using our plugin, please enable it and add the script in the corresponding head or body area on the same page.

You can use the cookie list to list out the cookies in the site. This is used for audit purpose.

This plugin is simply not working: Reject doesn’t work, nor does disabling e.g. non-necessary cookies as described above.

    When will it be fixed?

    Hi @beowulftheslayer,

Kindly ensure that you have added the scripts of the non-necessary cookies via our plugin and remove them from your theme.

As far as I can tell, everything’s set up correctly. For example, the GA script is in Head Scripts field of the _ga item in the Cookie List… but it never fires. The AddThis script is on every page (not via the plugin) but none of the AddThis cookies load whatever settings I choose.

(I am using this plugin on several other sites, so I’m not sure what the problem is here.)

    OK, it’s semi-working:

By default only ‘cookielawinfo-‘ cookies load. I can click ‘Accept’ and all cookies load.

If I then click ‘Cookie settings’ and disable my ‘Social’ category, only *some* of the AddThis cookies disappear: __atuvc and __atuvs remain (loc and uvc disappear).

If I disable my ‘Analytics’ category, *all* of the GA cookies remain: _ga, _gid and _gat_gtag_UA_XXXXXXX_XX

It’s obviously misleading to give users the impression they’re disabling cookies when they’re not!

    Hi @beowulftheslayer,

It seems like you are having the premium version. This is the basic version support forum and thus we cannot answer your queries here. Please submit a ticket here.

Thanks, but never mind… I have it working now. The settings are a little more fiddly than suggested in the docs, and a fair bit of trial and error was involved.
