• Okay, so I did something stupid. I changed the Options in the wp-admin page to a new address that doesn’t exist (but will). What was just https://junkycat.com became https://www.junkycat.com/blog. When I tried to change it back, my admin was basically nonexistant. It keeps giving me error pages (file not found), and none of the links in the admin screen work anymore. Is there any way to fix this?

If you have phpmyadmin, just follow this tutorial: https://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/site-url/

I don’t have phpmyadmin. Is there another way?

I don’t know of any, is there any chance you could get phpmyadmin? If not, hopefully someone else here might know of another way.

Cayla – where ARE your files now ?
and what exactly did you alter and to what ?
(We might have to move the files to where wp expects them to be)

I didn’t actually move any files, I just changed the Options on the admin screen (where you post and such), so I don’t understand where everything went. They should still be in the index.

Yes, they are still there, but what did you change (there is a blog address and a web address) and to what did you alter them ?
We need some info here … we need to put things where wp wants them.

I think I fixed it. What I changed was from /index to /blog (on both). The problem was that there was no /blog on my server and it messed up my admin, so I simply created a directory called “blog” and copied all of my WP files to it, which let me use my admin again and change it back to /index. I don’t know if that makes sense, but it seems fixed.

    Cayla ??
    That’s perfect sense !
