Likes filtering in Buddypress not working

With WP Ulike, the buddypress activity stream filter does not work for the selection “Likes” and instead of filtering only liked activities, it shows the same as “Everything” selection.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I see that @ositive had also reported this issue earlier, but do not see a solution in that thread
