Hi – Love your plugin and use it across all of my sites.

Works great and can see the events come up in GA – behaviours – events.

What I want to do is track the button clicks in Goals section of Google Analytics so we can put a dollar value on the phone call.

My question is what do we put in for the values:

    Category

    Action

    Label

    etc..

For example, in html, I would track a call:

    onclick=”gtag(‘event’, ‘click’ , {‘event_category’: ‘phone’, ‘event_label’: ‘phone call’});”

In this example, it would be:
    Category: phone

    Action: click

    Label: phone call

Really looking forward to your reply.

    Thanks,

    Ben.

    Hi Ben,

Thanks for your message and apologies for the delay in my response. You’re basically free to decide what information you want to put in any of these fields.

Simply answer the questions for yourself and decide what makes the most sense (e.g. what action do people take when they click the button? How should I categorise this action?). Label and value are both optional so if you don’t see a usecase for label, just leave it out.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Jerry
