This seems quite simple but havent been able to find out how to do it.

We have restricted the number of tickets available to one per booking but users are able to book one ticket multiple times.

Thanks for the very quick reply – I already have that set to no

Does that setting only apply to one ticket type ? We currently have two ticket types per event (reserved places and standby places) and it is possible for a user to book one of each type. Once booked then it correctly doesnt allow them to book a second time

“Allow double bookings” checks the number of Bookings (hence the option name), NOT the amount of tickets.

So if you have two ticket types and they select 1 ticket of each type. That is two tickets, but still 1 booking. (Booking a table for 4 is 1 reservation) ??

You cannot restrict a booking to one ticket of one ticket type when you have multiple ticket types, without custom coding.

OK thanks makes sense and is the behaviour I am seeing.

    So follow up question

Is having two ticket types the best way of achieving what we want to do

There are only 20 spaces available but when those spaces are filled we want to be able to take standby reservations but it needs to be clear that all the reserved spaces have been taken and anything after that are standby tickets

Is having two ticket types the best way of achieving what we want to do

Answered in the other topic. Let’s not mix ’em up ??
