Pictures is’nt displayed in browser

  • I have a problem with pictures I have uploades – they are not displayed at all. Instead I get a box with a small red X where the picture is supposed to be displayed. I have tried both with .jpg and .png format without any success. I have also tried to display it as smaller, that did not help eighter. The original picture is 450 px wide so I think that is OK. I have searched the forum, but not found anything that seem to relate to my problem. So now I hope someone are able to help me.

  • Where you want to place the picture use the ‘text widget’ and use the following format:

    <img src=”https://blogdomainname.com/wp-content/uploads/imagename.jpg&#8221; alt=”brief description”>

    This also works inside css [be careful of placement];or
    inside footer.php

    Sorry for being som daft, but should I put this on top of my posts where I want the pictures to be?

    Wherever you want if your theme allows it.
    You can also go to your dashboard and look for WP Insert; although a picture is not an ad you can add a picture on top of or below or beside or in the middle of a post that way.I have used that method myself other than text or php widgets.My theme is quite forgiving since it has 6 sidebars:
    top
    bottom
    top center
    bottom center
    left side
    right side
    and naturally the header and footer
