People Can’t Sign Up

  • Hi! I’ve just installed WordPress on my site… And allowed people to sign up. But ,when I tried to sign up with a test username and a working email address (different from what I use as an administrator), the site declared that I will be receiving an email but I never received the email. I tried it again with a different email address and the same thing happened. But could be the problem? Please help! Thanks!

  • It’s possible that your host doesn’t support email protocols through the website. My recommendation would be to install a plugin like Register Plus and allow users to set their own passwords. This will bypass the need for a confirmation email (not a perfect solution, but workable).
