• There is a lot of old documentation mixed in with new versions. Information refers to features and paths that no longer exist. Even videos are outdated. Makes one wonder about the actual plugin.

It is also not clear how to set up the directory layout, design, flow.

    Hello,

what you are writing there sounds more like a support request, which we are happy to respond to.

Our new GDV2 docs are all in one place here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/

There are no references there to features that no longer exist.

If you are looking for a ‘quick’ test try the whoop theme, which comes with some templates that will show off the demo content. Just run the setup wizard as described here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#wizard

Next time, if you run into a block, just come on over to our forum where we would be happy to help.

    Hi @kappaluppa,

I’m not sure if you are aware but we are currently supporting both GDv1 and GDv2 while we let users convert over, this means there is both v1 and v2 docs out there but they are on two different sites and /docs/ and /docs-v2/ and all GDv2 videos being marked as v2.

If it was simply a case you were looking at the wrong site then you might want to revisit the number of stars given?

If you have found an error in our docs then we will be more than happy to fix it if you can point it out as being on the wrong site?

    Kind Regards,

All videos for V2 have V2 in the title:

As my colleagues tried to make you notice, docs for v1 and V2 are on 2 separate websites.

    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/
    https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/

Every single doc about V1 has this big alert at the top of each page:

These docs are for GeoDirectory V1 – If you are using GeoDirectory V2 please visit: The GeoDirectory V2 Documentation Website

That said, you have all the right to leave us a negative review if you feel that it was still confusing for you.

But going to ask another user to lower his rating… that shows the kind of person that you are, especially considering that you are reviewing a free plugin.

@paoltaia, There was nothing personal in the ask to lower the rating. That reviewer made a mistake in their rating, as you can read from their experience. This happens quite often.

    Thanks, but that’s your opinion.

She already gave us a 2 stars review for her negative experience.

What would be the urge to ask someone else to lower their review (right or wrong) if not the desire to damage our work even further?

The fact that it happens frequently is a sign of the times, I’d hardly consider it something positive.

It is my opinion, but I am unbiased and I have seen this across all plugins. I would advise against looking into this any further, as you’re now making this personal and we have zero tolerance on personal remarks.
